The Shur'a Council elections 2007

Today is the Shur'a council elections in Egypt , the semi-renewal elections are held in 24 Governates to choose 77 members .The same repeating scenario which most people in Egypt knew by heart from long time and that's why no one went to the elections except few . Already the opposition parties are boycotting the elections and the MB candidates themselves were arrested across the country in the past weeks so the only candidates there are the NDP as usual with some impendent candidates

As usual the security claimed that it would protect the poll committees yet there was violence and one person was killed by a gun shot in North Delta in a fight between an independent candidate supporters and NDP supporters , the same old scenario

Of course we didn't reach yet to the cheating part , the usual part as journalists and people across the country are reporting to the news agencies and channels the existence of the same old mass cheating processes by the NDP !!

I feel so bored in covering this ,I mean we all know the result ,it will be for the NDP

Also I feel so silly to cover this elections of this honorable council whose head was from 40 years ago charged with the most direst charges a person can be accused with  !!

Now there is an election in France and like my grand mother said to me "There is no single French with an injured toe in it !!" not killed but with a single toe
